    This company's customer service was pathetic right until I canceled my order. I struggled for 15 days to try to get my orders corrected and confirmed. From the original order-taker to the next to last supervisor I spoke with not one single person (7 in total) followed through to ensure the order was correct.     Received a package of your oranges, grapefruit, tangerines etc from my sister-in-law. Have NEVER been more disappointed. There was actually MOLD on the fruit. Had a good chuckle when I saw you use a (brix) refractometer to measure for sweetness. Someone should taste the fruit.     We ordered a large box of white grapefruit ($65.00). When the box arrived and we opened it, the entire box smelled very musty/moldy. We realized that the smell was coming from the green packing foam, and it had permeated the entire box of grapefruit. Every grapefruit tasted musty. We called on 12/5/14 and were promised a replacement box. When it hadn't arrived by 12/18, we called again and were told that our replacement order had never been processed. We were promised that a new replacement order would be processed and that the fruit would arrive on Jan 2 or 3, 2015. When it still... More...

    the product was delivered 2 weeks late, so much for our Christmas present for our family. even though the order was made 1 month in advance! when i called them to see what happened they told me I will get a call back to see if they approved some kind of credit, i never received the call. Followed up again and only then they told me a credit was made in the amount of $10! My order was my than $100! Never again, More...

  • Disappointed in two different gift orders!



    Received order of grapefruits from Mom before Christmas. Half were rotten. Called customer service and was told they would send more. That was December 20th. Still waiting! Called back in January because mother-in-law had ordered honey bells, also in December. Was told they were shipped January 14 and had been rerouted because we were moving and had forwarding order in place, actually as of that date. I suggested to customer service rep that by the time we got them at our new address, they would be rotten. She brushed me off. As of January 23, still had not received. Hate to tell my mom and... I have ordered from Hales for two years. Their fruit is delicious (but it's not organic). And their customer service is very nice. Everyone I sent gifts to seems to like the product. However, I have two complaints. One is the website is not user friendly. I still have NOT been able to correct my email address or change one of the recipients address. In addition it fails to inform the customer both California and Arizona shipments are delayed due to agricultural restrictions. My other issue is some items (which they ran out of) never shipped. I was not told either. Ahhhhh...

I am very disappointed with the quality of the fruit Hale Groves shipped to my hosts. Each order contained blemished spoiled fruit. This is not acceptable. I expect the fruit to look and taste as good as the brochures claim. I have filed a complaint and will wait to see what kind of response I receive. Huntress

Package ID #14115989 - Customer Order #427567938 We are disappointed with the gift box we received. At least half the box had black mould on them and the balance showed early signs of spoilage, two were completely rotten. We received a notice in the mail on Dec. 24th/13 that a parcel was to be picked up after the holiday on the 27th. Could it have been the delivery delay due to Christmas rush or the extreme temperature changes in transit that caused the problem? The previous box we received last year was perfect. We have not advised the sender of the situation as it was very kind of him to send it.

I received my Honeybelles Monday with one spoiled fruit in the box. This has happened every year that I've bought in the past. Maybe I should stop buying from Hales.

I encountered friendly Customer Service people, and finally got my 3 oranges to replace two squishy ones. The nice lady said the rain had been so strong, that workers were not able to pick oranges.We'll cut one up soon, so we can review the flavor category--about local grocery store quality. I've had delicious fruit from Hales'--not this time. With so much competition, I'm not sure I'll be a candidate for more. Joey Kubesch Peru, IN

Horrible customer service. Bad spoiled fruit, late delivery if delivered at all. Very disappointed. If you want to send Christmas gifts or buy some for yourself....STEER CLEAR of THIS COMPANY! I order online ALOT....and this is the worst of the worst.

We were a little disappointed in our fruit. Almost all were blemished, and 3 were so soft (spoiled )that my finger went straight into it when I went to pu the fruit. We tried a tangerine right away and were disappointed in the taste. I have already ordered the same package to be sent to my Mother-in-law for Christmas. I hope to God it is better than mine. The tv documentary showed only none blemished items being packed.

I received a Magestic order of Comics pears. Every piece of fruit was blemished. My local World Class grocer sells better quality pears than that received from Hale. The customer service rep was polite and agreed to credit my card for the full price. A co-worker advised that she experienced a similar problem with a Hale order earlier this year. Based upon the reviews, I'm cancelling all my pre-orders.

bitter teasting...when I compalinted to customer service
they sent another box that was worse...
never do business with this company..
better tasting and cheaper at my local super market
